Sarah Chalke

Sarah Chalke was conceived in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on the 27th of August, 1976. Angie Chalke, and Doug Chalke are her parents. Sarah is the middle of two siblings, one older, Natasha Chalke, one younger, Piper Chalke. Sarah made her acting debut in the film City Boy (1992), the first television-produced film made by TV. In 1993, after her debut film, she auditioned for the role of "Becky" on the TV show Roseanne (1988). The show was seeking someone to replace Alicia Goranson, who left the show in order to attend college. Sarah graduated high school in 1995 as she was filming the 1994-95 Roseanne (1988) season. In 1994, Sarah co-starred in the film, Ernest Goes to School (1994) as did Jim Varney. In 1996, she appeared in two films which included Robin of Locksley (1996) and Stand Against Fear (1996) where she was a cheerleadernamed "Krista Wilson". Sarah was invited to perform in the 1998 show Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy. This was one year after Roseanne (1988). It was based on a TV film of the same name, Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy (1998) that Sarah was also in. Sarah assumed Becky's (1988) role from Alicia Goranson. She said she wanted to quit acting and go to college. [2001] (1993-1997) She was Sara Gilbert's elder sister on Roseanne (1988), however she's actually younger. Participated in the 1999 CCMA Award Ceremony where she received an award for the most successful single of 1999. (September 1999) At the age of eight, appeared in Vancouver stage productions. The actress is fluent in French, German and Spanish. She is a volunteer for the hospice which cares for sick children who are terminally ill. Chalke is a cook who enjoys cooking with companions, particularly Thai as well as sushi and playing guitar. She also enjoys ski (she is an instructor) Kayaking, snowboarding, kayaking and reading. Her father is an attorney and both of her parents run a child-adoption agency. Her parents brought her to China to oversee the adoptions of many orphans.
