Melanie Jayne Lynskey (born 16 May 1977) is an New Zealand actress. She is well-known for her unique character, soft-spoken and strong. She is mostly seen in films that are independent. Her nominations include: an New Zealand Film Award. A Hollywood Film Award. Sundance Special Jury Award. Gotham Award. Golden Nymph Award. Critics Choice Award. Screen Actors Guild Award nominations. Lynskey was a teen murderess, who made her film debut in Peter Jackson's Heavenly Creatures (1994).
