Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy is a Canadian actress and singer. She is most famous for her character on Law & Order as Claire Kincaid, a US prosecutor, in the television show Law & Order for three seasons. Crossing Jordan was six seasons. Jordan Cavanaugh, the main character in Crossing Jordan, lasted six seasons. She also appeared in films like RoboCop 3 and Most Wanted as well as the independent films Chutney Popcorn and The Acting Class, the latter of which she also co-wrote and directed. Hennessy was brought up in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy, John's father was a meat and marketing sales/marketing executive. The position required a lot of traveling and the family was required to relocate frequently. The mother of her child, Maxine, a secretary, left the family in 1982 leaving her daughter to be partially raised by her maternal grandmother, Eleanor who lives located in Kitchener, Ontario. John Paul Hennessy Jr. Her younger brother is Jacqueline Hennessy the identical twin who is a magazine journalist as well as a host on TV in Canada. Hennessy is of Irish, French and Swedish origin, and has Ukrainian Roma and Austrian ancestry. She attended Stanley Park Senior Public School and graduated from Grand River Collegiate Institute, both in Kitchener, Ontario, and used to busk on the Toronto subway. Hennessy and her sister were first actors when they appeared as twins in the 1988 film Dead Ringers. The actress was nominated for the role of Dana Scully on The X-Files according to Gillian Anderson, the actress who ultimately got the role.She was in Broadway in the musical Buddy The Buddy Holly Story in 1990. The Buddy Holly Story in 1990.In 1993, she appeared as Dr. Marie Lazarus in RoboCop 3.In 1993, Dick Wolf signed Hennessy as an assistant district attorney Claire Kincaid in the NBC crime drama Law & Order. The role lasted for three seasons until she quit the show in 1996.
