Michelle Lynn Monaghan Bio

Michelle Lynn Monaghan was born March 23 in 1976. She is most well-known for her roles in the films Kiss Bang Bang (2006), Gone Baby Gone (2007, Made of Honor (2008)), Trucker (2008) and Source Code (2011). Her role as a lead in Mission: Impossible III (2006), Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011) and Mission: Impossible Fallout (2018) has earned her recognition. Monaghan was also nominated for the Golden Globe Award as Best Supporting Actress. She also played Sarah Lane on the drama series The Path (2016-18). Monaghan was the character Eva Geller on the 2020 Netflix thriller series Messiah. The show was pulled after just one season. Monaghan was the daughter of Sharon Hammel (a factory worker) in Winthrop. She has two older brothers, Bob and John. Monaghan, who is mostly from Irish and German descent, was raised Catholic and graduated from East Buchanan High School 1994. After graduation, she moved to Chicago to pursue journalism studies and began modeling. Models have also appeared in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore in addition to the United States. In 1999, she only had one more semester to finish her degree in journalism. After that, she relocated to New York to pursue an acting career. Before becoming an actor, she was model and featured in numerous catalogs and magazines. Monaghan's two first television credits, both as a secondary character, were on episodes of Young Americans in 2000. Her next appearance on television was on Law & Order: Special Victims United in "Consent" that aired on January 19, 2001. Monaghan also made her debut on screen in Perfume the following year, playing Henrietta. She also acted as a supporting actress in Unfaithful in 2002. The film starred Richard Gere, Diane Lane and many others.
